Working Paper Abstract:
Academics and practitioners with an interest in corporate governance issues together with national and international regulators of companies’ performance have strived over the past forty years or more to find the right formula which Board of Directors of organisations in both the private and public sectors can adopt to achieve effectiveness. This presentation summarises the first stage of a research project aiming to identify the parameters, which when present, are likely to lead the board into achieving effectiveness in their delivery of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
