Alexandra-Paraskevi Chytiri (PhD, MSc, MA, BSc)


Dr Alexandra-Paraskevi Chytiri is currently a Lecturer in HRM at University of De Montfort, UK. She also teaches Tourism and Hospitality Management at the online program of University of Piraeus. She is also the HRM representative for the university library. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) (Greece). She also holds an MSc in General Management and an MA in Human Resource Management in Hospitality, both from University of Kent, UK. Her bachelor degree was on Business Administration, from University of Piraeus, Greece. She has undergone extensive training on Research Methodology, provided by University of Kent, the British Academy of Management (BAM) and AUEB. She has taught at the undergraduate, postgraduate level and at the executive MBA programs at University of Kent, University of Piraeus, Athens University of Economic and Business and IST College (in the programs of London Southbank University and the Catholique University of Lyon), the modules of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management in Tourism, Organisations’ and People Management, International HRM, Cross-cultural Management, Leadership, International Management and Research Methodology. She has attended numerous conferences worldwide. Her research interests are in the area of HRM, Organisational Performance, the link of HRM practices and Organisational Performance, Employee Performance, HRM in crisis, HRM in Hospitality Industry. Her articles have been published in conference proceedings, edited books and journals. She is a member of the British, European and American Academy of Management, as well as a member of the Laboratory of Entrepreneurship and Human Resources of AUEB. She is an editor of the Journal of Organisational and Innovation Studies and for the American Academy of Management Conferences. She has been an Adjunct Lecturer in Management at University of Piraeus.
