Prof Angelika Kallia- Antoniou
Angelika Kallia- Antoniou is Professor of European and Hellenic Environmental Law at the Hellenic Centre of Public Administration and Local Administration, in Athens. She has also taught at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in post graduate Master programs on water management and Biodiversity protection, as well as at Dubna University in Russia and at Chong-quing University in China. She is a Lawyer at the Hellenic Supreme Court (Areios Pagos). She holds Ph.D (1999) degree in European Environmental Law from the Kapodestrian University of Athens and a Master (1987) Degree in International Legal Cooperation from the University of Brussels. She is a member of the Law Group of Experts of the European Environment Bureau in Brussels, since 2012. She is also serving as a member of the scientific committee of the Law Journals on the Environment. Her research interests include: Evolution and implementation of the EU environmental policy and law, Access to justice in implementation of the Aarhus Convention, Polluter pays principle and implementation of the EU 2004/35 Directive, European policy and legislation on sustainable tourism, EU – Russia collaboration on environment and sustainable development.
