Having grown up in Argentina, Greece and Venezuela, the cosmopolitan Gary Telaak came to Germany to study Automotive Design at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences for Design, where he graduated in 1996.
After a 6-months project for Mercedes-Benz Industrial Vehicle Design he joined the Audi Design Team in 1997.
It is now Telaak’s 16th anniversary as Exterior Designer for Audi. He started off with the design of the 2nd generation Audi A3 and its derivative Audi A3 Sportback.
In 2001, after he had finished working on the Design of the A3, his talents were called upon to manage a young Exterior Design Team for the re-design of the style icon Audi TT and its derivative Audi TT Roadster.
Since 2007 Telaak holds the position of Studio Leader, heading one of the Ex¬terior Design Teams in Ingolstadt and creating Exterior Design proposals for the entire lineup of the Audi Product Portfolio.
Telaak has lead several student-projects in cooperation with diverse Design faculties, such as Pforzheim University, University of Applied Sciences Munich, Scuola Politecnica di Design Milano (SPD), the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (CAFA) and the International Hellenic University in Thermi, Greece.
