Konstantinos Stathopoulos is Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance (MSAF, University of Manchester), an MSc in Accounting and Finance (MSM, UMIST) and a BSc in Banking and Financial Management (University of Piraeus, Greece).
His research interests lie at the intersection of corporate finance and market based accounting, focusing in particular on corporate governance issues. His work has been published in major academic journals and presented in numerous international conferences in the US, Europe and Asia. He is the recipient of several awards and grants.
He has served on the editorial board of the British Journal of Management, and regularly acts as a reviewer for several academic journals as well as funding bodies, including the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
